Metropolitan Life, one of the largest private life and pension insurance companies in Romania, announced on Tuesday revenues of more than 298.6 million lei for the first half of this year, a 17% increase compared to the same period in 2021.

More precisely, Metropolitan Life recorded gross premiums in the amount of 298,615,386 lei, compared to the same period in 2021, when the value of gross premiums was 255,993,644 lei.

Regarding the allowances paid for the first six months of 2022, they amounted to 88,708,973 lei, which is 20% more compared to the same period of 2021, when they amounted to 74,224,336 lei.

In Romania, Metropolitan Life has more than 3 million customers with life insurance and mandatory private pensions.
