Improved additions to these ambulances enhance the operational capabilities of paramedics, nurses and EMTs as they minimize their workload during their critical work of providing emergency pre-hospital care to critically ill patients.

Minister of Health Thanos Pleuris welcomed the donation, noting: “The proposal of the Hellenic Shipowners Union is very important for the strengthening of EKAV. We want to support the work of EKAV. This is the first contact with the patient and it is very important for the entire work of the national health system, and therefore the shipowners association has always been our assistant in supporting the NHS.”

President of the Union of Hellenic Shipowners and SYN-UNION Melina Traulou said: “I would like to publicly thank, as a Greek citizen, the women and men who work at all levels of EKAB. “Thank you” from the bottom of my heart to all of you who are on the front line and are faced with human pain, with concern for our health, for our very life. You are the first point of contact in need of assistance… your directness and concern can make all the difference. You are fighting against time. Your daily life is a constant anti-crisis management of life itself. Your work touches all of us, in every corner of our country.
