Australian Jack Miller (Ducati) won the Japanese MotoGP Grand Prix, the 16th round of the World Motorcycle Championship.

South African Brad Binder (KTM) and Spaniard Jorge Martin (Ducati-Pramac) completed the podium.

Starting from pole position, Marc Marquez finished in 4th place.

Frenchman Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha), the championship leader, finished the race in 8th place.

MotoGP, general classification

1. Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha) 219 points

2. Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) 201

3. Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia) 194 etc.

Japan’s Ai Ogura won Moto2, and Spain’s Izan Guevara won Moto3.
