The lawyer was attacked by a man whose features were covered Friday morning near the courts of Chania.
According to the information, the attack took place in the presence of several citizens in the area of the stairs leading to the court of first instance. A man approached the lawyer Manolis Papadomanolakis from behind and, saying something to him, hit him with a sharp object on the neck, causing, fortunately, a cut, after which he hurried to hide.
After the attack, the lawyer went to the Chania hospital for first aid.
Christos Pramateutakis, President of the Chania Bar Association, spoke to Flashnews.gr about the unprecedented incident, unacceptable and reprehensible.
As he characteristically said, “This is a criminal offense, since hitting a colleague on the neck with a sharp object can lead to death. Manolis Papadomanolakis is a member of the Board of Directors of the Chania Bar Association and a colleague who serves justice with courage and humility.”
