Ukrainian forces reportedly shot down at least one Russian Ka-52 attack helicopter in the Zaporizhzhia region on Thursday. The pictures that appeared on social networks show the exact moment of the plane’s fall.

Images released Thursday show at least two helicopters, and immediately to the left of the image, a missile can be seen flying and striking one of the helicopters in mid-air. Immediately after impact, other small flares are observed, most likely from munitions and heat traps on board the helicopter.

The plane still managed to continue its flight, although it was shrouded in smoke and began to slowly catch fire. The helicopter moves away and then approaches the ground and lands as the flames engulf more and more of the plane.
