Williams has announced that Nicolas Latifi will no longer be his driver at the end of this Formula 1 season, and this new change at the Grand Prix could be a chance for Mick Schumacher.
According to DPA, Latifi’s contract will not be renewed (it expires at the end of the current season).
Nicolas has been with Williams since 2020: during all this time, he has scored seven points in 55 competitive Grands Prix.
So far, the name of only one driver that Williams will rely on for the 2023 Formula 1 season is known: Oleksandr Albon.
Mick Schumacher is on the list to come to Williams
According to the specialist press, Mick Schumacher is on the list of those who will get a single-seater from Williams for 2023, while the German’s future at Haas is uncertain.
The name of Dutchman Nick de Vries, who made his F1 debut with Williams two weeks ago in Italy when he replaced Albon, who underwent appendicitis surgery, is also being floated.
