Follow-up Survey: Spiked Rammus Deposits

With spikes against current and former commanders of the National Intelligence Service Them. Demir as well as P. kondoleontosregarding their processing in the case of monitoring by Mr. N. Androulakisreportedly began his testimony yesterday at Parliamentary Investigation Committee President, Message Privacy Office Chr. Rammos.

In particular, with regard to Mr. Demiris, whose testimony to the same committee had been completed shortly before, the president of ADAE stated, according to certain information, that, invoking the secrecy and duty of confidentiality associated with his position in that service, he did not provided what the Office required of him within the scope of his authority. The same information leads Mr. Rammos to characterize this attitude – also on the part of prosecutor Vasilika Vlahov – as evasion and non-cooperation, while stating that this is unacceptable as ADAE retains the right to control EYP. In this context, Mr. Rammos reportedly also added that he would continue to investigate the wiretapping case, arguing that lack of transparency is not allowed in a state of law. Other information also mentions that the President of ADAE noted that the destruction of the file with relevant questions from the observation of the President of PASOK was carried out by EYP during the reign of Kondoleontos on the day Mr. Androulakis (29/7). In the same context, he allegedly provided EYP with three written reports on ad hoc inspections of ADAE (September 6, 7, 13). Their content, allegedly seen yesterday by two members of the committee, is expected to take over today’s meeting. According to the sources, among other things, they mention that the destruction of the Androulakis case took place on 29.07.

However, according to other sources, Mr. Rammos yesterday simply stated that random checks at EYP ADAE did not find anything wrong with the connections, and also that there was an invitation from the Service since the beginning of last year. Perhaps the Administration will take part in the destruction of files, but ADAE decided that this is not necessary. The same sources added that Mr. Androulakis’ complaint was filed almost three months after the above-mentioned invitation. Mr. Rammos’ testimony, the first part of which was reportedly marked by renewed tension at the commission’s seat, was scheduled to continue today.

Earlier, in concluding his own testimony, Mr. Demiris reportedly invoked confidentiality and the duty of confidentiality once again. Other information leads him to say that the Prime Minister has the right to remove the secrecy, adding that such a thing would not be useful to the Service. According to some reports, Mr. Demiris said, among other things, that he himself would be stricter in declassification cases.

Finally, at the Presidents’ Conference, SYRIZA is expected to reiterate with emphasis today the request for a new convening of the Committee on Institutions to consider the complaints of Mr. Chr. Spirtzis is also about spying on his phone.
