It is becoming more and more obvious that regardless of age, we are more and more present on the Internet, the pandemic begins and the trend of working from home means that more and more people use the Internet in their daily routine.

This seems to be supported by DOMO Data Never Sleeps analysis, which shows that there has been a 1,700% increase in digital engagement across certain platforms over the past ten years, so people are generating massive amounts of data every minute of every minute.

The American company found that the use of services such as Instagram, YouTube, Amazon and Venmo, in particular, increased by hundreds or even thousands of percentage points in some cases.

“Every click, post, swipe, and share contributes to the creation of massive amounts of data, and it’s no secret that this data acceleration is not slowing down,” said DOMO CEO John Mellor.
