Mercedes has made a big splash with its new C63 AMG (available in sedan and wagon), which now features a hybrid engine that’s directly inspired by Formula 1 technology. With the V8 no longer offered, this new C63 AMG SE Performance has plenty to tempt.

Overall, the new C63 AMG is 8 cm longer and 7.6 cm wider. The wheelbase increases by one centimeter. Mercedes indicates that these new dimensions bring more character to the body with a more stretched and more muscular line.

In particular, the presence“Air Panels » with electronic control, located behind the radiator grille and in the front apron. Also note that the AMG logo will now be available on the entry level.

At the rear, there is a dual exhaust which is accompanied by a new diffuser. A spoiler painted black, integrated into the trunk lid, was also installed on the Mercedes. There is also an E Performance badge, which will indicate the presence of hybrid traction.

Now it will be possible to control different driving functions or different driving modes without letting go of the steering wheel. The driver will also be able to control the regeneration of the hybrid traction using the steering wheel.

Finally, the new C63 SE Performance received an all-new Mercedes multimedia system called MBUX. The latter, in particular, includes functions specific to the car’s hybrid engine. The dashboard will also be customizable with several different display styles. Several high-quality graphs on the multimedia display show details such as the power flow of the entire drive system, engine speed or power.

A head-up display will also be available to display information received by the systems Breed and Supersport developed by AMG.
