IVOTY Chairman Jarlath Sweeney presented the award on behalf of the prestigious IVOTY Jury, made up of 34 international commercial vehicle journalists: “It’s not often that a completely new van concept appears that attracts so much attention on the market. Congratulations to the development team at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles for creating this unique vehicle.”– he said about this.

Volkswagen ID. Buzz Cargo received 110 points, just 10 points ahead of its closest competitor, the new Ford Pro E-Transit. Renault Kangoo E-Tech Van, Nissan Townstar Zero-Emission and Mercedes-Benz eCitan share the third place: this year the podium consists entirely of electric vehicles. Other shortlisted candidates also included the new Doblò and Scudo from Fiat Professional.

Volkswagen ID. Buzz Cargo: Over 13,700 orders

Volkswagen ID. The Buzz Cargo thus succeeded the Renault Kangoo Van and the Mercedes-Benz eCitan, which last year won the International Van of the Year (IVOTY) 2022 award.
