Carlos Alcaraz is the youngest leader in ATP history, and after the title won at the US Open 2022, many were quick to predict the Iberian’s career similar to that of the representatives of the BIG 3.

Carlos Alcaraz has no chance to match Federer, Nadal and Djokovic

Marion Bartoli, the winner of Wimbledon in 2013, does not think so, who believes that no one will ever be able to break the records of Federer, Nadal and Djokovic.

Of course, the same thing was said after Pete Sampras retired – that no one could ever top him and the record of 14 Grand Slams was “broken” by the BIG 3.

Carlos Alcaraz told who will form the new BIG three of world tennis

However, Bartoli believes that the situation is completely different. We are talking about a fantastic period of tennis, an era when the big three challenged each other to overcome barriers.

Federer, Nadal and Djokovic fueled and challenged each tournament they won and the bar was raised too high, Bartoli believes.

“I think there’s no chance that anyone other than Carlos Alcaraz will ever reach the 20 grand slam mark.

I think the achievement of these three guys (minus Federer, Nadal and Djokovic) is beyond all expectations and I don’t think anyone can match their performances,” said Marion Bartoli.

“Carlos Alcaraz’s record at the US Open is fantastic, but I don’t think it’s realistic to imagine he can raise the bar to 20 Grand Slams,” concluded the 2013 Wimbledon champion.
