Osaka, currently ranked 48th in the WTA rankings, has struggled with anxiety and depression in recent seasons and her performances on the tennis court have suffered greatly.

Naomi Osaka is satisfied with the place she occupies in the WTA ranking – She has learned to be more at peace with herself

Although she won her last WTA event at the 2022 Australian Open in January, Osaka says she has learned to be content with what she has because she can’t stay at the top all the time.

“It was a bit difficult at first, just because I felt like I needed to be somewhere that I obviously wasn’t at the moment.

I think it’s more important for me to be at peace with myself. I know I’m here for a reason (#48 in the world).

This year was not the best, but I learned a lot about myself.

Life has its ups and downs and this year has been more down than up, but overall I’m pretty happy with where I’m at right now.” – Naomi Osakareports Agerpres.

Next time, Naomi Osaka will take part in the WTA 500 Pan Pacific Open tournament (September 19-25).

Osaka will face Daria Sevilla in the first round. The Japanese won the last edition, which was held in 2019. The competition was later canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
