Juventus player Paul Pogba and his mother have been taken into police custody in both France and Italy on suspicion of extortion by a group that included the player’s brother.

On Saturday, Pavlo’s brother, Matias, was charged and placed in a pretrial detention center as part of the investigation.

Four more suspects, aged between 27 and 36, were also charged and imprisoned in this case.

Five suspects tried to extort Paul Pogba

Paul Pogba said at the first hearing that he was lured into a trap by childhood friends, who were helped by two armed and masked men.

They accused him of not helping them financially and allegedly demanded an amount of 13 million euros.

Pogba claims that he would pay 100,000 euros and recognize his older brother Mathias among the attackers.

Paul later said in the presence of investigators that it was possible that Matias was “pressured” by people who wanted to extort money from him, News.ro reported.

On August 27, Paul Pogba’s brother Mathias released a video in which he promises to talk about his brother, the current player of Turin “Juventus”.

In the video, Mathias claimed that his brother went to the witches to ask them to do something so that Kylian Mbappe would be injured and stop playing for France.
