​Linda Fruhvirtova, the great tennis hope from the Czech Republic, won the first WTA title of her career, defeating Magda Lynette in the final of Chennai (India).

At the age of only 17 years and 4 months, Linda passed after two hours and 40 minutes of play from an experienced opponent from Poland (30 years old, favorite 3), the score was 4-6, 6-3, 6-4.

Lynette (67 WTA) led 4-1 in the deciding set, but Frukhvirtova made an impressive comeback to win after five consecutive victories.

During the “WTA 250” competition, the Czech also beat En Shuo Liang (399 WTA), Rebecca Peterson (95 WTA), Varvara Grachova (80 WTA) and Nadiya Podoroska (298 WTA).

For the triumph in Chennai, Linda Frukhvirtova will receive a check for $12,000 and 280 points in the WTA ranking (she will rise to 74th place, the best ranking in her career).
