Her Majesty’s Keeper of the Crown Margaret and Her Highness the Prince Consort traveled to London on Saturday to attend the state funeral of Her Majesty the Queen of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Elizabeth II.

The royal couple will attend official funerals in London and Windsor on Sunday, September 18 and Monday, September 19, 2022, according to a royal family Facebook post.

By the way, in the years 1950-1990, King Charles III and Crown Princess Margareta, children, then teenagers, always met at the royal residences in Great Britain.

After 1990, the Prince of Wales and Crown Princess Margareta met almost every year in Great Britain or Romania.

President Klaus Iohannis will also attend a reception hosted by His Majesty King Charles III and the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey on Sunday.

Monday’s state funeral, which will be attended by almost 100 presidents and heads of government, including from the United States, France, Australia, Japan, Jamaica and Canada, is likely to be one of the biggest formal events ever held in Britain.

London police said on Friday that the funeral would be the biggest security operation they had ever seen, with prime ministers, presidents and members of the royal family in attendance.
