After two sets, in which both players made two breaks, Ana (65 WTA) led 4-1 in the deciding match, but Beatrice made a spectacular comeback to tie the score at 4.
Haddad Maia (18 WTA) led 40-30 in game one, which sent the set to a tie-break, but Bohdan won three straight points to clinch the victory.
The Romanian won after two hours and 37 minutes of play with a score of 6-1, 1-6, 7-5.
