Over the past few years, Dacia’s image has changed significantly. Don’t talk about it anymore inexpensive vehicles when talking about brand models. French manufacturer wants to break away from the image that he could return to his beginnings. The era of the brand with square cars and simple interior is over. Dacia now prefers to play the card of pragmatism, p so-called essential cars.

The manufacturer seeks to do his own thing cute, attractive and, above all, practical models. By virtue of its status as a complete entity within the Renault-Nissan allianceDacia is now announcing its ambitions for the coming years. Faced with skyrocketing prices for new vehicles, the manufacturer is making sure it can offer very competitive pricesthanks to cars focused on the essentials.

The ambition is illustrated quite well by the brand’s latest concept, the Dacia Manifesto. As the name suggests, this is a real introduction to the future of Dacia. We invite you to discover it in the video right here –>

Futuristic design

This concept car has a especially modern look. Almost lunar in the sense that, at first glance, this concept gives the impression that it came straight from the ISS. A design worthy of a space module. This Dacia electric concept car is a vehicle intended for active recreation. But you won’t see a buggy capable of having fun either in the pampas or in the dunes. This concept car is more like utility for (wise) active recreation. With that in mind, everything has been thought out to make this car as practical as possible.

This Dacia Manifesto introduces a for the first time fairly compact size only with Length 3.60 m, 1.85 m wide and 1.55 m high. There are no doors, windows or windshields. The conductor is in direct contact with the elements. Installed Dacia airless tires (without air)with the ground clearance properly raised so this car cango explore areas where no one else can go. All without risk of puncture.

At the front of this concept is a very clean bodycharacterized by new brand logo and an new light signature. It’s the same at the back, where you can now see the Dacia name in full backlit writing. A new light signature at the front and rear, which will definitely be present on the brand’s next models like the new Duster and the upcoming Bigster.

Playful concept

Along with a very futuristic and assertive design, this Dacia Manifesto also presents many practical innovations.

Let’s start with the front part, where there is a single central headlight. In fact, it is a detachable flashlight, which allows, for example, to illuminate the forest or provide remote car maintenance. We also find right next to the presence of a winch. This will allow you to tow a heavy object or allow the car to free itself from a difficult area.

From the sides, we notice that Dacia has sometimes perforated body. This area allows you to set towbars to hang items outside the car. We celebrate very close the presence of a step. The latter provides access to the roof of the car, the main storage area of this concept. The edges extend, which makes it possible to create a real platform on which you can install luggage.

At the back, the space is divided into two parts. On the left is the battery. And on the right is a large storage space where, for example, you can install a large tool box.

Ecological cabin

The interior of this Dacia Manifesto is also very original. At first glance, it looks a little rough. But in fact, Dacia worked very hard. Seat cover in synthetic material disconnects and can transform into a blanket or sleeping bag. The dashboard is made of cork. Material that allows, for example, to hang maps in case of network loss in remote areas. There is also an interior in 100% washable material. A technology that Dacia is working hard on. It may arrive next year. Then it will be possible wash the interior of the car with water.

In contrast to the natural and ecological aspect that prevails on board, there are also several of them touch control on the steering wheel which, again, give an idea of how the brand’s steering wheels will look in the future.

In addition, you can quickly see other interior elements on the following Dacia models. As is the system “You Clip”. This is a system that allows you to easily hang items such as a bottle or water bottle on the dashboard. It will be in particular present on board the next Dacia Duster.

Finally, there is also a smartphone mounting system. The French manufacturer also shows its own the desire to focus on the main thing. Why install large screens when most motorists use smartphones? That’s why Dacia gives preference optimize the use of the smartphone in the carrather than installing screens, which risks increasing the price of products.

With this Dacia manifesto, the manufacturer demonstrates its own the ability to project the future. For those most eager to grab a copy, take it easy. The brand clarifies that this concept car is not planned to enter the market one day… Nevertheless, it can be seen at the Mondial de l’Auto, Porte de Versailles in Paris next October.
