Booking Holding, the world’s largest provider of online travel services, announced the official opening of its IT center in Bucharest. The company says it will invest around 100 million euros over five years and aims to create 500 jobs during that period.
“The new Center of Excellence in Bucharest currently supports cybersecurity operations and fraud monitoring, IT infrastructure and procurement analytics, with new capabilities to be added throughout this year and in 2023 in other areas including data management, fintech and marketing” , – says the representative of the company.
The center has a full management team and more than 150 employees in various roles supporting multiple brands, and the partnership with Infosys aims to increase Booking Holdings’ own workforce.
There are plans to expand by the end of the year and grow to 500 employees over the next five years. The company will also be hiring in areas such as financial technology, cybersecurity, software development and IT infrastructure.
The center is located in the U•Center building in Tineretului district (Bucharest).
