According to the Avangarde poll commissioned by Digi 24, Gabriela Firea will be the PSD candidate who will win the mayoralty elections, regardless of who the counter-candidates proposed by the parties will be.

According to Digi 24, the survey presented different options for candidates from the respective party they belong to and different lists they could be on in case of local elections.

According to the poll, the most suitable candidates from the parties would be Gabriela Firea, Cyprian Chuku, Katalin Drula and George Simion.

Gabriela Firea’s share is, depending on the list of opponents, from 28% to 30%.

His strongest challenger would be the PNL’s Cyprian Chuku, who is credited with between 18% and 24%.

Vulnerable PSD candidate

Alexandru Rafila is a vulnerable PSD candidate, given that he is almost equal to possible PNL candidate Cyprian Cuk in the respondents’ options.

As for the other parties, USR’s Catelyn Drula has the best rating, with 16% intending to vote if elections are held next Sunday.

George Simion could get between 10% and 13% if he ran for mayor of Bucharest.

49% of respondents believe that Nikushor Dan should not run for office again

The share of the current mayor-general, Nikusor Dan, is between 16% and 18%, and 49% of respondents say that he should no longer run for a new mandate.

The survey was conducted by Avangarde between 09/07/2022 and 09/14/2022 on a sample of 901 people from Bucharest. The data collection method was CATI (telephone). The maximum sampling error at the 95% confidence level is +/- 3.4%.
