Kyrylo Stremousov, the most famous leader installed by the Russian occupation forces in the Kherson region of southern Ukraine, says that Ukrainians are ready to eat Russian children.

“Yes, he said that,” emphasizes BBC journalist Francis Scarr, who became famous after the start of the war in Ukraine in late February thanks to numerous videos translated from Russian television. In this case, Stremousov’s post appears to have been posted on his Telegram channel, the favorite messaging app of Russians.

“The Nazis think that everything will be easy for them, come to Kherson, come to other parts of Russia and impose their rules. They are ready to eat our children, they are ready to kill,” Stremousov states in his hallucinatory message.

At the end of August, this official, installed by the Russian occupying forces in Kherson, became the object of a wave of ironies in social networks after he published a video message about the “useless counteroffensive” of Ukrainians, but the recording shows that he is actually in Russia.

He later appears to have returned to the region in southern Ukraine, where Kyiv forces launched a counteroffensive on August 29, a week before the attacks on Kharkiv that led to the collapse of the Russian front in the country’s northeast.

A week after the start of the counteroffensive on Kherson, the occupation authorities established by the Russians there announced the “suspension” of plans to organize a referendum on joining Russia.

Who is Stremousov, an official planted by the Russians in Kherson

The name of Kirill Stremousov became famous in Russia after he was repeatedly quoted by press agencies and television stations in Moscow, as he was the one who announced the referendum on unification with Russia in June.

Stremousov also announced his suspension on September 5.

The official installed by the Russian invaders was also the one who announced in May that local authorities would start issuing Russian passports to residents of the southern region who want to obtain Russian citizenship.

Later in May, the occupation authorities began issuing Russian passports to the residents of Kherson, but ran into major problems after residents refused to participate in the issuance of the documents.

Kyrylo Stremousov is also the one who repeatedly declared about the shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the HIMARS systems of the strategic Antoniv bridge across the Dnipro and its closure on July 27.

In August, he complained that the occupation authorities intended to open the bridge after its repair, but the Ukrainians struck it again.

Although Stremousov is the deputy leader installed by the Russians in Kherson, he seems to be the one primarily responsible for the public communication of the occupying forces.
