As can be seen from his report cathimerini.gr, it all happened yesterday Thursday (8/9) when the man returned home and, according to his statements, heard his wife tell him that she had sex with another man. Then, in a rage, he drove to a gas station, bought gasoline, surrounded the 55-year-old woman and set her on fire. However, he later “regretted” this, put out the fire and informed the emergency services.
The woman was taken by ambulance to the emergency room of Komotini hospital, while the 62-year-old man was detained.
Arrest for endangering a minor
However, this is not the first time the 62-year-old has had problems with the authorities. The couple has a disabled son.
According to information, the man was arrested again at the end of August last year, as he allegedly neglected his child, as a result of which he left home and wandered the streets in poor condition.
As local media reported at the time, the 15-year-old boy was spotted by police officers who saw him apparently move without a sense of direction, even on the street, at the risk of being pulled in by passing cars. The boy was returned to his family, and his father, according to police sources, was arrested for endangering a minor.
