Rybakina (25 WTA) will face Tereza Martinsova (66 WTA) for a place in the quarterfinals of the competition in Slovenia, after the athlete from the Czech Republic eliminated Harriet Dart (85 WTA), 0-6, 6-4, 6-1.

The tournament in Slovenia is part of the WTA 250 category, has a total prize money of $251,750, and at the start there were 32 players in the main draw. The competition takes place from September 12 to 18.
The overall champion is Jasmine Paolini (she won the 2021 edition, the only one to compete in Portorož).
