Many manufacturing small and medium-sized enterprises have woken up these days to information from energy suppliers that they will increase their prices several times. What’s more, I don’t even know how much they have to pay for the past months because the corresponding invoices are late. In an effort to get a better deal, they approached other suppliers but were turned down or didn’t hear back.
It should be noted that some suppliers refuse SMEs because they do not receive money from the state for compensation and restrictions, so any new customer is a loss for them.
Also in this situation is a production company from Pitesti (New Design Composite), which manufactures fiberglass tanks, mini sewage treatment plants, guard cabins insulated with fiber. In the interior of the car, it produces liquid for the windshield, car antifreeze.
“He increased my price by about 3 times with the hook. This is how we practice. The difference in gas a year ago was about 5 times. I received the information: as of October 1st, the price… This is the price, and they clarify, this is purely the price of the supply of active electricity. In addition, the tariffs for distribution, transportation, excise taxes, and certificates are divided,” Olympia Doru tells us.
The price per MWh on May 1 was 1,952.53 lei and now on October 1 is 5,902.53 lei, she says.
- We don’t yet know how much he will bill us for the past months because we last received a bill in July and are still waiting.
- We take it as such. Bills still fall behind. Only then do they raise the price. You no longer know what predictions to make. Until we see the bill, we don’t know how much we’re paying.
“And for gas, we were told that we will pay less due to the decree on compensation and restrictions, but the decrease was not in the price of the energy carrier itself, but in the distribution, costs. Yes, there was a discount, but not for the basic product, that is, for a cubic meter of gas. There was a decrease in value in the general invoice, but in fact the main product did not undergo any changes,” the entrepreneur also said.
What does an entrepreneur who makes furniture say
Another entrepreneur who makes furniture, Daniel Egri (MOBEX), told us that the supplier increased the price of active energy in August from 840 lei to 2,099 lei, and from October 1 to 5,099 lei, with a valid contract.
“We tried to get other energy prices from other suppliers, but we were told they didn’t want to work with SMEs. Some companies didn’t even respond to us,” he says.
Our natural gas contract expires on November 1st and we have received word that they do not want to renew it.
“What is happening here? We will go to the last utility provider in the area, which has exorbitant prices, which is forcing us to close the business,” he says.
