Craiova University coach Mirel Redoi was disappointed with the officiating in Sunday’s game against CFR Cluj, which was won by the Romanian champions. The match of the tenth stage of the Super League ended with a score of 2:0 in favor of “Cluj” thanks to a goal from a long distance, as well as an own goal.

CFR Cluj scored on the scoreboard thanks to a shot by Muhar (’17) from outside the penalty area, as well as an own goal by Geman (’27).

Mirel Redoi, unhappy with the refereeing and mistakes of the University of Craiova in the lost derby against CFR Dan Petrescu

“I am upset with the result, but also with my mistakes. I’d rather lose a game like that trying to play than win like that, but I have to judge my team.

I will have to find a solution, correct these errors because they are displayed on the scoreboard.

I don’t want it to be thought that I have anything against referees, but they are similar to the ones I caught when I was a player in Romania.

We didn’t lose because of the refereeing, but the refereeing style is something… Let’s go back 20-odd years, it’s almost impossible for me to believe this.

We will have to find a solution, because today we were beaten by a team that suffered two defeats and could not afford a third.” – Mirel Radoy.

Thanks to this success, Dan Petrescu’s team scored 15 points and climbed to 5th place (15-9 goal difference and two arrears).

Instead, Mirel Redoi’s team is in 8th place (14 points, goal difference 11-11 and one match less).
