“Threats from a NATO ally are unacceptable”

The Prime Minister also sent a clear message to Ankara during his meeting with Slovak President Zuzana Kaputova. According to Maximos’s statement, Mr. Mitsotakis confirmed that Greece’s permanent position is dialogue based on international law, international maritime law and good neighborly relations.

He also stressed that it is unacceptable for Greece to receive threats, up to the questioning of the sovereignty of Greece, from a country that is a NATO ally.

In an exclusive interview with K, Ms Colonna revealed that the partnership between the French and Greek armed forces has been established as a strategic partnership and works for the benefit of their allies.

The French official stressed that Turkey’s doubts about the sovereignty of Greece raise questions and require open channels of communication between the two “allied and neighboring countries.” In any case, he emphasized that Paris would support Athens “whenever Greek sovereignty is questioned and that will not change.”
