Iga Svyatek justified her status as the main favorite and for the first time in her career became the queen at the US Open, after defeating Arthur Ashe in the final, 6-2, 7-6(5) against Ons Jabert. After an hour and 51 minutes of play, the athlete from Poland won her third Grand Slam title.

Iga Sviatek defeated Ons Jaber in the US Open 2022 final

With Iga leading 3-0 in the second set, Ons staged an impressive comeback but missed a break point at 4-4, and the world number one had stronger nerves in overtime.
