In the first eight months of this year, Dacia and Ford plants produced 330,000 cars, which is more than 40,000 more than in January-August 2021. According to ACAROM, production increased by 24% in July and August.

In July and August 2022, 61,634 cars were produced in Romania, which is 24% more than in the same period of 2021, respectively 49,375 units.

Of these, 34,153 units were produced at the Dacia plant in Mioven, and 27,481 units at the Ford plant in Craiova.

In the first eight months of 2022, the production of passenger cars in Romania reached 330,393 units (199,503 Dacia + 130,890 Ford), an increase of +15.5% compared to the same period in 2021.

The Sandero and Duster entered the top 10 best-selling cars in Europe last month, while the Craiova-built Ford Puma has been in the top 10 for the past few months.
