Dickie Philippidi case: Actor’s wife complains about orchestrated slander scheme

Opinion, what’s behind the complaints against him Petru Philippidis there is an “organized plan to redistribute the pie in favor of theater and television,” Elpida Ninou, the wife of the accused of sexual assault, testifying for the second day, told the Joint Jury.

A witness questioned by the Civil Procedure Court stated that the complaints against Petros Philippidis “were organized a year ago by specific centers in the context of the metoo. In their interviews, they themselves (the applicants) talked about this. People gathered under this umbrella… Where was the metoo organized from? What is metoo? said Ms. Ninou, answering questions in an obviously tense atmosphere in the room.

Civil action: By whom were they organized?

Witness: Accept. Revenge in the theater can also be caused by a remark, a word. The theater pie is divided again. See what’s happening in the series right now. It’s my personal opinion. Petros was very much needed. The complaints started with three women who were going to concerts and wanted to complain about some people. And the legal department of the channels was looking into whether they could do it. Many meetings were held, many phone calls were made. They will be revealed in court.

Ms. Ninou stated that she believes her husband told her the whole truth about the women who denounced him, denying that he used the slightest violence against them: “We were humiliated, we reached the bottom, and I think that Petros can no longer lie to me. Prison humiliates a person. He is very severely punished. What do you want; Should we die? Let’s die…”

Referring to the course of her relationship with the accused and after being asked by the civil procedure body about her past and how she reacted when there were problems in her marriage and her current support, the witness replied:

“Petros was imprisoned for a year. Our lives were destroyed. We started from scratch and we are back to the beginning. Imprisoned for a year, disappeared from work, some want to disappear from people’s memory. I am a person who, when someone is lying down, I help him to get up, if it rains and he is wet, I open his umbrella… I am not interested in houses, cars, money… did not stay with him out of interest or any or financial motivation. I have very deep feelings for those I love.”

Since rape is a traumatic experience, Ms. Ninou said, the victim wants to share it with those close to them.

“If you have been raped, there is nothing stopping you from reporting it. Every day women, even 8-10-12-year-old children, come and report it,” he said, commenting on the time elapsed between reporting the incidents and the complainants’ appeal to the authorities.

Mrs. Nino’s testimony will continue tomorrow, Friday, September 9th.
