The temporary power plant on Titan will be put into operation by the end of the year, General Mayor Nikushor Dan said during a visit to the construction site. It is about the installation of production facilities with a capacity of 75 MW of thermal energy, leased by the capital’s mayor’s office for one year.
“There is a project by the Ministry of Energy for a thermal power station to produce both thermal energy and electricity, but it takes time, so it was decided to put up this temporary plant that produces only heat. of energy, as I said, 75 MW of thermal energy, for which there is a lease agreement for one year, which can be extended by Termoenergetica for up to three years,” Nikushor Dan said during a visit to the construction site.
The new production facilities will be connected to a centralized system so that the coolant reaches the required temperature in the areas of Kolentina, Tey and Pantelimon. Until now, it was pumped from CET SUD, and due to low pressure and damage to the network, the hot water came cold.
- “From a technical point of view, in addition to the fact that the support was installed first, and then these five modules similar to this one, that is, this one and four more, the company “Termoenergetika” ensures the connection of these power plants to Bessarabsky Boulevard, that is, the replacement of the pipe. you can see several hundred meters on the boulevard.
- Inspections of the gas installation, which is located at the rear, are also carried out. And the well is being reconstructed, through which a significant part of the water that will be used for this plant is supplied.
- Well, it worked, as I said, until 2014, until the plant was closed. These are data about the power plant that Termoenergetica wants to install, as I said, before the holidays,” Nikushor Dan explained.
The mayor says that Bucharest’s problem is that it had several CETs that were well distributed across the territory, a large CET in the west, a CET in the western part, two CETs in the south, a CET in Titan and one in Pipere. But one at Titan was canceled in 2014 and one at Piper in 2009, so the system was unbalanced because heat energy has to be transported very long distances from the south.
Regarding the modernization of the district heating network, Mayor Nikushor Dan stated that the construction sites in Bobochica and Drumul Taberei are closed.
“We have four large construction sites open: one in Ferentara is nine kilometers away, one in Berchen – two kilometers away, one in Pantelimon – one kilometer away, and one in the Mihalace – Amzei district – several hundred meters away. . In addition, the Termoenergetica company has repaired short eight-kilometer sections with its own forces and subcontractors so far,” Nikushor Dan explained.
