
Kate Walsh is expected to return for the upcoming 19th season of the hit and longest-running medical series “Grey’s Anatomy“.
The actress will play Dra again. Addison Montgomery, a character introduced at the end of the first episode cycle. After leaving the series, Addison starred in the first Grey’s Anatomy spin-off titled “Private practicewhich aired on the ABC network from 2007 to 2013.
Walsh appeared in the recent season in several episodes in which Addison returns to Gray Sloan Memorial Hospital to operate on a patient. During season 18, Addison mourned the death of her ex-husband Derek along with his sister Amelia and his widow Meredith.
In an interview she gave in 2021, the actress said she was thrilled to be back on the set of the series and the character Addison for the first time since Private Practice ended. “I’m very happy with the ending.” Regarding the continuation of her character’s story, she said, “No one knows what the future holds. But right now, we have planned the return of Addison, and we’ll see what happens.”
