Sabalenka, the sixth favorite of the Flushing Meadows competition, defeated the athlete from the Czech Republic (22nd seed) in one hour and 23 minutes of play with a score of 6-1, 7-6(4).
Arina will fight the winner of the match between Poland’s Iga Sviatek (main favorite) and American Jessica Pegula (8) to reach the Grand Slam grand final in New York.
