The first TAROM special flight will depart today around 21:50 local time to Tel Aviv (Ben Gurion Airport) for the repatriation from Israel of approximately 150 Romanian citizens affected by the suspension of Blue Air flights, the minister from Grindelwald announced on his Facebook page.
When will Blue Air resume flights
Blue Air will do “everything possible” to resume flights after the seizure is lifted, company officials said.
After the seizure of the accounts, Blue Air decided to suspend flights until September 12, and returning to normal operation means following some procedural steps. “After the seizure is lifted, there are still some steps we need to take,” Blue Air officials told HotNews.
On Wednesday, the government allocated 5 million lei from TAROM’s Reserve Fund for the repatriation of Romanians who reported their situation.
An estimated 3,000 travelers were affected by the suspension of Blue Air flights, and Prime Minister Nicolae Chuke announced on Wednesday morning that more than 2,000 of them had already informed the Foreign Ministry about their situation.
