Virgil Popescu said Monday night on Digi24 that gas reserves have been exceeded this year compared to last November, News.ro reported.

“At the moment, we have exceeded, we have 2.3 billion cubic meters, i.e. 75.6%. I want to tell you that we exceeded the indicator from November 1 of last year,” said Virgil Popescu.

When asked how many there will be on November 1 this year, the minister replied: “It will be more than 80%, for sure, but I would not dare to say how much, because time is passing, the temperature is dropping, and we are in September, and in September consumption is also increasing , and less imported gas is stored.”

The minister added that Romania will keep the situation under control in winter. When asked if we are having a good winter, Virgil Popescu replied: “Of course.”
