Even if they offer still rather timid autonomy, 100% electric campers there are more and more on the market: for example, the Mercedes EQV eCamper, the ElectricBrands XBus Camper, not forgetting the long-awaited Volkswagen ID.Buzz.
After launching a converted Opel Zafira Life van with a diesel engine last year, Crosscamp similarly took on Zafira-e Life, its 100% electric cousin to the Peugeot e-Traveller and Citroën ë-Spacetourer. in Crosscamp Flex is a zero-emission camper that can fit up to four people on board and will be released in 2023.

Based on the Zafira-e Life, the Crosscamp Flex features 180-degree rotating interior seats and a rear seat that converts to double bednot forgetting a retractable roof who Houses additional double bed. In total, the model can accommodate up to four people on board: ideal for a family weekend.

Crosscamp Flex: range of 322 km
Under the hood, as in other models of the PSA group (Stellantis), we find a 100% electric motor 136 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque as well as a Lithium-ion battery for 75 kWh installed in the floor.
It offers a range 322 km, which is only 8 km less than the serial Opel Zafira-e Life. Thus, the equipment that allows you to transform it into an equipped van did not greatly affect the autonomy of the model. With a 100kW DC fast charger, the battery can recover to 80% charge in just 48 minutes.
Crosscamp Flex: 2023 launch
Since power from the main battery is for driving, Crosscamp has added a Auxiliary battery for 95 Ah, for powering on-board equipment. A version of the Crosscamp Lite, which has less camping gear, should also be offered at a later date.
Shown at the Düsseldorf Motor Show, open to the public from August 26 to September 4, 2022, the Opel Zafira-e Life Crosscamp Flex will be sold in during 2023, at rates to be announced later. For comparison, the standard Opel Zafira-e Life is sold at Opel from 56,900 euros.
