David Popovici, Patrick Sebastian Dinu, Bianca Costea and Rebecca Diaconescu finished the race with a time of 3:30.39, thus winning the silver medals.

Hungary won the gold (3:30.03), and Italy was on the last step of the podium (3:32.54).

On Friday, Vlad Stanku (17 years old) managed to win his second medal at the Junior World Championships in Lima, our athlete won bronze at the distance of 800 meters freestyle. Only two days ago, Stanku won silver in the 400-meter freestyle.

Romania’s first medals at the World Championships in Lima were won by Vlad Stanka (silver in the 400-meter freestyle) and the men’s 4×100-meter freestyle relay (gold).
