OUR Russia large-scale military universities began today with the participation of several allied countries, including Chinaa sign of a growing rapprochement between Moscow and Beijing amid tensions with United States.
Secondary schools under the Vostok-2022 brand are being held until September 7 in the Russian Far East, and since February, Moscow has launched a massive attack on Ukraine.
China, for its part, is in a diplomatic crisis with the United States following House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan last month.
The Vostok-2022 exercise began this morning with fighter maneuvers, maneuvers by anti-aircraft units and simulated mine clearance in the Sea of Japan, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

“Air Force crews must be trained to intercept air targets (…) and deliver air strikes against ground targets,” the Defense Ministry said in a statement.
He published photographs and videos showing mainly military aircraft taking off and flying in formation, as well as Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft vehicles during combat maneuvers.
According to Moscow, at least 50,000 servicemen, more than 5,000 pieces of weapons and military equipment, including 140 aircraft and 60 warships and support vessels, will take part in the gymnasiums.
They involve military personnel from a number of countries neighboring or allied with Russia, such as Belarus, Syria, India, but especially China.
Washington has often expressed concern about the rapprochement between China and Russia, which have close defense ties, saying it threatens global security.
While confirming its participation in high schools in mid-August, China said its presence “has nothing to do with the current situation at the regional and international level.”
