Tom Cruise’s Top Gun: Maverick co-star Jennifer Connelly will join Joel Edgerton in Apple’s upcoming sci-fi series Dark Matter.
Based on the novel by Blake Crouch, according to Deadline, the nine-episode series follows Jason DeShon (Egerton), a physics professor and family man.
One night, as he was walking the streets of Chicago on his way home, he is kidnapped and transported to a parallel universe. The miracle quickly turns into a nightmare when his attempt to return to reality reveals parallel lives he could have lived.
Connelly plays Dishen’s wife Daniela, and Crouch will also executive produce and commentate on the series.
