According to TMZ, Charlie Sheen has reached an out-of-court settlement with his former partner, who accused him of knowingly infecting her with HIV. The actor reportedly paid $120,000.
The plaintiff, known only as Jane Doe, alleged in legal documents she filed with the court in June 2017 that she met Sheen in September 2015 and they began having sex soon after.
At first, they allegedly took precautions, but then, according to the plaintiff, they stopped and had sexual intercourse after the actor assured her that he did not have a sexually transmitted disease.
However, he then confessed to her that he was HIV-positive (which he had known since 2011) and allegedly gave her pills to protect her from the virus.
This is not the first case the actor has faced, as it was revealed in 2016 that Sheen knowingly infected at least 25 of his sexual partners with the HIV virus without telling them he was a carrier of the virus. Then, in an attempt to defend his actions, he stated that he did not have unprotected sex during the meetings in question.
