A foreigner wanted for murder is arrested in Orestiada.
In particular, a man was arrested by the Orestiada security police under a European arrest warrant issued by the Swedish authorities for joint murder and aiding another person and inflicting grievous bodily harm.
The murder was committed in 2014 in Sweden.
Yesterday afternoon, the police discovered that the perpetrator had illegally entered the country from Turkey, and during the check it was found that the aforementioned European arrest warrant had been issued against him.
The arrested person will be brought before the Appellate Prosecutor of Thrace.
