Back in 2020, the Turks were awarded an €80 million contract with Nurol for the Transilvania trunk line – their first motorway contract in Romania. After a year of operation, physical progress has reached more than 33%, and the last two months show how much progress has been made, according to a comparison video made by community user peundemerg.ro. Theoretically, the section should be ready in early 2023.
The contract for 13.55 km was signed on 30.09.2020 with Turks from Nurol for about 384 million lei, about 80 million euros. The start of the contract is scheduled for February 1, 2021, 6 months of design and 18 months of execution. The technical design was approved in August 2021, and the first works began soon after.
The video below, made by user “marinul” from forum.peundemerg.ro, shows the progress of the work in the mirror from June until now after mid-August.

- “The site is unremarkable, without impressive structures, with a relief like the palm of your hand – an exception to the rules of the Transylvanian hills, infamous for their massive landslides,” said the Pro Infrastructure Association, which assessed, as a rule, with a decent mobilization, the developer could complete plot already in the spring of 2023.
On this section, the Turks from Nurol have to build a road interchange in Nushfalau, 7 roads, 5 bridges and a short-term parking lot.
