Therefore, I ask you never to associate what I achieved in the 70s, under the name of Phoenix from beliefs, with what the “leader” of this group under the same name has been doing for many years now! I’m ashamed of his disgrace!” wrote Joseph Kapple, a bassist who was active in the band Pheonix for several periods.

“But I’m not ashamed, I’m proud of what I achieved then! For me, the name Phoenix still remains a symbol of resistance and desire for freedom! Phoenix did not exist as a band for many years, after those who had real “bones” left the group. Farewell meeting! NOT with me!”, Kapl also wrote.

“I signed a contract with the foundation for a concert in front of 10,000 people. I’m not singing at some wedding or funeral, I’m singing in front of 10,000 people on a stage at a festival somewhere. I don’t know what kind of wedding this is, I signed a contract and I sing, that’s how I earn money,” said Niku Kovaci for Libertatea.

The singer said he didn’t know if he was talking to George Simion, he was talking to a “young gentleman.”

AUR President George Simion is getting married on Saturday, August 27, in the village of Vilca, and 10,000 people are expected to attend the event. In recent weeks, George Simion has been very public about his wedding preparations, from pictures of engagement rings to videos of him shopping at local party stores.

A “village party” is the “leitmotif” of a wedding organized by George Simion together with friends and fellow party members. The AUR leader wants the event to take place in the traditional Romanian style.

According to him, 14 thematic tents from 14 geographical regions of Romania have been organized, and bands and folk music bands will perform at the party.
