Tsipras Mitsotakis: You take people’s distrust for granted

“Mr. Mitsotakis, you take the distrust of the Greek people for granted, and very soon this distrust will turn into a vote for change, a vote to free our democracy from the practices of your regime. Don’t be sad,” Alexis Tsipras said during the retrial in response to a report made by Kyriakos Mitsotakis during the retrial, in which he called on the president of SYRIZA PS to file an impeachment petition with the government.

Mr. Tsipras emphasized that in his opening remarks he raised critical questions, but “you didn’t answer”. “For what national security reason did you listen to Androulakis?” he repeated, noting that “the argument that you can’t state your position publicly and what you will say to him is childish.” In addition, he said the prime minister did not mention T. Koukakis, once again asking what the national security reason was for watching him. “You still haven’t answered the question of how many more MEPs and MEPs are following you,” he continued.

Referring to the Minister of State, he said that Mr. Gerapetritis did not speak in this process (Committee on Institutions and Transparency), “but he made a ‘complacent mistake’ in the Committee on Institutions and Transparency, and in this respect I do not rephrase.” Addressing the prime minister, he said: “Did he know or not? Did you or did you not know when you sent your chosen one to the Commission, accompanied by two first-class ministers, Pierrakakis-Gerapetritis? Do you know or not that Mr. Contoleon will obscenely lie that he never followed Mr. Andrulakis? “Is Mr. Androulakis involved in espionage or hybrid warfare and you have the audacity to point fingers at us and talk about displacement?” he commented.

The President of SYRIZA PS said Mr. Mitsotakis’s speech and rebuttal “raise even more questions”. “None of us is safe as long as you continue to operate with this perception and tell us from the floor of Parliament that no elected official is an exception,” he said.
