A car ran over a 61-year-old pavement worker under unknown circumstances, seriously injuring him.
The 61-year-old man was taken to Kalamata General Hospital by EKAV ambulance but died shortly after from his serious injuries.
The police proceeded to arrest the 65-year-old driver, who was released on the order of the prosecutor. A preliminary investigation into the causes of the accident is being carried out by AT Pylos.
