Last year we heard it Elton John along with one of the most popular pop stars of our time, Dua Lipa, in “Cold heart”, a duet recognizing parts of John’s classics such as “Rocket Man”, “Sacrifice” and “Kiss the Bride”. In fact, we are still listening to this track as it became a big hit and is constantly on the radio.
Elton John probably hopes the same will happen to me. another duet which is just around the corner, this time with her Britney Spears.
The long-awaited track will have a title “Hold Me Closer” and there will be a mashup of tracks “Little Dancer” (as its name suggests) and “The one.”
The official release of “Hold Me Closer” may be in another two days (out on Friday 26/8), however Elton John made sure to sample it a bit in the Cannes restaurants where it was found.
In a video posted by the British musician on social media, we see the restaurant’s DJ playing the track while Elton John sings live.
By the way, “Hold me closer” will first new sample from Britney Spears since 2016, but also the first since she left the custody of her father, James Spears.
