Petra Kvitova announced on her official Twitter that she will marry Jiri Vanek, none other than her WTA coach. The 32-year-old athlete said “YES”, and the reaction on social media was in line with the importance of the event.

“We want to share the good news with you. I said YES in my special place,” wrote Petra Kvitova on Twitter.

Kvitova, who is ranked 21st in the world, confessed her love for the coach last year, and professional cooperation between them began in 2016.

Previously, Vanek (44 years old) coached Karolina Pliskova.

During her time, Kvitova won 29 tournaments, two of which were Grand Slam tournaments (Wimbledon 2011, 2014). His highest finish was at No. 2 (October 31, 2011), and he has collected $34,448,806 in tennis prize money to date.
