“With the superhuman efforts of our Coast Guard, we have prevented the death of people in the Aegean Sea,” the Turkish President said.

“Over the past two years, we have prevented the death and saved the lives of 41,000 people, mostly women and children, whose inflatable boats were sunk by Greece and left for dead,” he added.

“No one criticizes the fact that there are 10-15 US bases in Greece,” Erdogan also said. “No one criticizes the fact that the West is gathering forces in Greece, but when even one voice says that “Turkey threatens Greece”, then […] if they look askance at us, let them not misunderstand us, and we must look at them directly,” he said.
