According to the forecast of CIES Football Observatory, CFR Cluj will take first place at the end of the 2022-2023 regular season in the Romanian Super League.

Following the title champion on the podium will be FCSB and CSU Craiova (as at the end of the last championship season). Sepsi Sfantu Gheorghe, FC Botosani and Rapid Bucharest would also qualify for the playoffs.

Predictions take into account the statistical pattern of the teams’ performances over the last two seasons, the experience of the current squad of players and the transactions made in the transfer market.

The International Center for Sports Studies notes that a re-evaluation will be conducted after the end of the current mercato period.
