
Barcelona and 20 other European clubs are being investigated by UEFA for failing to comply with Financial Fair Play rules in the 2020/21 season.
“Paris Saint-Germain”, “Marseille”, “Inter”, “Roma”, “Juventus” or “Barcelona” are on the list of UEFA for not complying with the rules of financial fair play.
Barcelona may be banned from European competitions and will no longer be able to transfer players
According to Marca.com, PSG and Marseille may face fines, and Italian clubs and Barcelona may even be banned from European competitions.
In addition, the Catalans may face a transfer ban.
UEFA will introduce a new Financial Fair Play system from 2023, under which clubs will be limited to spending a percentage of their revenue on player wages, transfers and agents’ fees.
The limit will be 90% by 2023, 80% by 2024 and 70% from 2025. Clubs’ finances will be monitored at different times of the year when they participate in European competitions.
