A senior adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said on Tuesday that Ukraine would need less than the cost of a Russian oligarch’s superyacht for the necessary weapons that could “completely change the course of this war.”

Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, said on Tuesday that the price of achieving parity in armaments and destroying the logistical support of the Russian army is “less than the yacht of a Russian oligarch.”

Mykhailo Podoliaka suggested that in order to “completely change the course of this war”, 50 HIMARS long-range weapon systems provided by the United States, worth about 200 million dollars, would be needed.

Zelenskyi’s adviser suggests that this is too small a price to pay for what it could mean in the fight against the Russians.
