Economou: Mr. Tsipras is identified with the darkest days of the memorial period

Government spokesman Yiannis Oikonomou responds to opposition official leader Alexis Tsipras’s criticism of stepping out of heightened surveillance.

As he mentions in his statement, the European leadership is today congratulating Greece on its release from heightened surveillance, but the leader of SYRIZA “has the audacity to demand change.”

In detail, Mr. Economos’s reply to Mr. Tsipras is as follows:

“The European leadership today congratulates Greece on emerging from heightened surveillance. Mr. Tsipras, who is identified with the darkest days of the memorial period, with lies, deceit, division, taxes, cuts, suppression of the middle class and the marginalization of the country, has the audacity to ask and about the rest and even present as a success the third unnecessary memorandum and the 100 billion he owes the Greeks. Unrepentant, he continues on the path of lies, again trying to make black white. Because that’s all he can do.”

In an earlier post, the President of SYRIZA PS states: “On 08/20/18 we took the country out of the memorandums and got a 4-year exit horizon. Then the current prime minister said that we signed the 4th, and he asked for a credit line.”

“Today, 08/20/22, we celebrate what we have achieved. Lies and arrogance then and now. But his time is running out,” the President of SYRIZA concluded.
